  • Classes first held in 1851.
  • There were four students in the first term.
  • First teacher was Ms. Susan Thomson.
  • First High School graduation was in 1915 and included five students.
  • Original school colors were royal blue, white and black.
  • Current flagpole was dedicated in 1951 to Marguerite Knight, long-time teacher.
  • Smallest class was three in 1921.
  • Largest class was 51 in 1979,
  • Last graduating class was 1992.
  • School name and emblem was the Bluejay, adopted in 1940.
  • First Superintendent was H. L. Bleeker (1913-1917)
  • Final Superintendent was Sig K. Rimestad (1977-1992)
